Total installed power: 662 kWp Contact me about this projectAt the newly build production facilities of Kim’s Chocolates N.V. in Tienen (B), OSPS is realizing a 662.000 Wattpeak roof mounted photovoltaic system. The installation consists out of 2.982 pieces of high efficient Atersa A222P solar modules, fitted with polycrystalline 6 inch Photovoltech solar cells. The use of this technology is not coincidentally: the manufacturing lines of Photovoltech N.V. are located right across the street.
The solar modules are mounted on an aluminum support structure at an tilt angle of 10 degrees, which is fixed to the main support structure of the roof. Due to the white colored roofing membrane it is to be expected the module operating temperature will be limited and the incidental radiation at the module plane will be higher than a typical dark roof situation. The modules shall be connected to the grid by using a central inverter configuration. The generated power will be used in the production facilities of Kim’s Chocolates N.V. enabling them to save on their energy procurement. Commissioning is planned in the fall of 2008.
